Please note that the Embassy of Greece in Astana and the VACs in Kazakhstan bear no responsibility for any cancellation, modification or alteration regarding the details of your trip to Greece. The issuance of a visa and its validity, if granted, is under the exclusive prerogative of the Consulate and it is not a guarantee that the trip will take place. In case the trip will not take place during the validity of the visa granted, all fees are non-refundable and applicants are kindly requested to apply for a new visa. Please also note that any person entering Greece might be subject to a number of restrictions upon their arrival.

Kindly be informed that the submission hours at the Visa Application Centers for Greece in Almaty and in Astana are from 09:00 to 13:00. To facilitate the process, we strongly recommend that applicants book their appointments online. However, we are also happy to assist all applicants who visit the centers as walk-ins. In such cases, if all regular submission appointments are fully booked, applicants may choose Prime Time or Premium Lounge service for an additional fee - though this is entirely optional and not mandatory. You may book your appointment here.

Important - Visa applications may take up to 15 calendar days to process. Some applications may require further processing due to consultation from other Schengen countries and therefore the processing time may be extended up to 45 calendar days. Visa applications should be lodged no later than 15 calendar days prior to departure. Applications may be submitted at the earliest six (6) months before departure.
As is foreseen in the Schengen Visa Code, namely that applicants can apply for their visa to Greece 6 months before the actual travel, and as there are always difficulties in finding a last-minute appointment, GVC is urging prospective travelers seeking a Schengen visa to Greece to submit their applications now and not later.
